As the holiday season bears upon us, each day we receive a handful of Christmas Cards. As I go through them, awing over the cute children and happy families, I find myself  craving something more, hmm, let's say personal. In a world where we are plugged in twenty four hours, seven days a week, I crave that personal touch that has been trampled upon by the need for immediate satisfaction.

Personally, I debated over buying Holiday cards that had our greeting pre-printed, and committing my very limited time to hand writing each and every card I sent out. I would love to say, I chose the later, but I didn't, and I regret it. Where has that personal touch gone?

I hereby commit myself to handwriting one letter a month, that's not much, and think how it feels when you get that personal note from a loved one, it's comforting to say the least. Join me in my plight against being constantly bombarded by technology, lets make a counter-cultural fashion statement together. Let's teach our children the art of the handwritten note. Let's teach them to read an analogue watch, to slow down and feel life, to empower themselves and others with thoughtful actions and deeds.

One handwritten note at a time, let's remind our loved ones that they are much more than a task to be checked off a list, that they are important enough to spend time on.  Let's give them what we are all craving, a desire for authenticity, quality, uniqueness.

Higdon Pens can help you create a handmade, one-of-a-kind pen to give to your loved ones so that they too can join the counter-cultural fashion statement with you. Go forward with us, and lets show the world what we have been missing!

Until next time, stay healthy, happy, and as always, sign with style!
