Chittam Burl
This writing instrument is constructed using wood from the tree Cotinus obovatus and is commonly called Chittam, Chittum, and Smoketree. This tree is native to the southeastern United States and the burl form used here is extremely rare and grows in only a handful of very small regions. By the few people who even know of it, it is argued that Chittam Burl is the most beautiful and rare burl in the world.
