Desert Ironwood
This writing instrument is constructed using wood from the tree Olneya tesota and is commonly called Desert Ironwood. This tree is native to the southeastern US and northern Mexico and grows in the Sonoran Desert below 2500 ft. It is the hardest wood in North America and can live to 1,500 years old.
